It’s our body’s way of telling us that it needs more energy in the form of food.

Your body has a biological clock that, when also notice that there are few nutrients in your body, it sends a message to your brain that makes you feel hungry.

A hormonal signal is sent from our stomach to the hypothalamus (part of brain), when our stomach and intestines are empty. This causes particular groups of neurons in the hypothalamus to produce proteins, which make us feel hungry.
