      I have to say it’s probably the places I’ve been to – inside food factories, wholesale centres, markets. It’s given me an appreciation for all the work that goes into making food safe for us to eat.

      I discovered by chance that a load of milk destinated to became cheese was infected, preventing a serious health issue.

      I have got to travel to cool conferences in different countries. I have presented my research to loads of different audiences including people working in food processing, the general public and scientists.
