My Work: I'm a cow burp scientist.... I measure the amount of gas (methane) that a cow burps and figure out ways to reduce the amount of gas made by the cow. This is important because we need to understand this to improve the environment and do our bit to prevent climate change.

My Work: I am a Soil Scientist looking at important microbes in the soil. There are millions of microbes in the soil and some of them are really important in helping plants grow. My job is to understand how these microbes can help plants grow better and how farmers can give them the best conditions to do so.

My Work: I am a plant scientist based in beautiful campus of Teagasc Crop Science department in Oak Park, surrounded by plenty of greenery. My work involves field trials to perform disease screening, lab experimentation on molecular and microbial studies, and managing glasshouses. One of the important part of my work is training others on the novel scientific techniques and communicating science to all.
