      I found microbes that contain toxin genes in dairy samples. These microbes were at very very low levels in the powders, but I used new methods and I was able to detect them. These methods were more sensitive than the normal methods used.
      These methods could be used in the future in loads of different foods, and give us more information about how widespread these toxin genes are, even if they are at very low levels. This information could help prevent people from getting food poisoning from these toxins.

      That every cow produces a different amount of methane! Some are doing better for the environment than others

      I found a bacteria that was responsible for a food outbreak that caused illness. I thought it was interesting because it wasn’t any of the typical bugs that were known to cause food poisioning.
